Hello All
I worked my way through one or two digital cameras then graduated to a Sony DSC-F505 which I used for several years. Thinking of moving up to the next Sony. The F717 I think. I got talking to a guy at work. He was an Italian who was doing some very high speed video of our packaging machine trying to see what was going wrong. At 500 Packs per minute can be difficult to see what is going on.
He also did still photos of the machine. I am not sure if he was an employee of the company or had been brought in as a consultant.
Anyway he said if I was going to spend that much on the Sony I should take a hard look at both the Canon and Nikon DSLR. He had a Canon that was in the $5000.00+ range in 2005
Anyway I did as he suggested and handled both and ended up with a Nikon D70. I have the Nikon D90 now.

His name is Milko Marchetti. I discovered a bit later what stunning photos he has taken.

David

The Nikkor 18-200 almost all the time. Seems to cover everything I need. It is the VR lens.
