Distance appears to be the same, plane of the faces in this one is equal. Much more detailed in both the technical aspect of the image and the "interaction" of the Lladro piece.
It appears the point of focus is a bit further back (the closest leaves' edge of the roses are SHARP) than the front of the porcelain. A shot focusing on the lad's pants wrinkles would likely put the depth of field from the front edge of the plinth to the girl's right hand. Let the "color" fall where it will.
That lens is a "Keeper" to my mind, BTW.
